In my classroom, I want my students to engage in deductive reasoning, generate counterfactuals, and develop hypotheses. To accomplish this goal, I have committed to creating a psychologically safe environment where my students can play with ideas, challenge their assumptions, and evaluate their conclusions critically. I have been able to accomplish these goals with the help of my own patience, the geographical and cultural diversity in which I have studied and taught, and finally by the interdisciplinary choices I made in my doctoral training curriculum.
